The simnel cake that we'd made earlier needed a bit of decoration. A layer of marzipan with eleven marzipan balls on top, for the disciples (minus Judas), and then a chick, daffodil and rabbit went on top. Pearl was inspired by the creativity to make a beautiful salad for lunch.
