We were half expecting some brass instruments but unfortunately they don't do that any more (although that can be very loud), so the piano was back in use for a Carol Service with the Salvation Army. Carols are one of those things that bring on reminiscences and it was very moving. They are all very good singers too. Next carols will be on Christmas Eve when John Harris will be back on the piano, with Malachi on the saxophone - that should be fun.
