It was a glorious day and a great turnout of residents, staff, friends and relatives. After persuading the last doubters with the promise of refreshment at Hempton Bell (Reg!) we were off, up Bridge Street and through the Market Place. Donna and Heather collared anyone and everyone who was out and about for donations. We then took the path to Goggs Mill to feed the hens and ducks and stop for a quick photo opportunity. Vicky's friend Claire came and took some great wide angle photos of us as a group, but unfortunately for some reason they are difficult to publish on this website. After getting our breath back it was over the river, past the garden center and on to a well earned rest at Hempton Bell, before the final leg home along the river and past Wensum Lodge. A very, very big thankyou to everyone who came and helped and who gave so generously. The Grand Total is over £490 now and still rising.

Mothers' Day Flower Arranging
Rita came and demonstrated some seasonal flower arranging. Everyone then had a go at making their own and with some beautiful results to decorate the home with.

Outing to Hunstanton Sea Life Centre
We had quite an early start so we could get there in time for the seal feeding. We were lucky with the weather and whilst the sun didn't shine, it was reasonably warm for the time of year. This was lucky as the seals, otters and the penguins were outside. It was good to get inside in the warm and see the various fish and animals in their tanks. The most spectacular bit was walking through a glass tunnel with the fish swimming above and around. A fish and chip lunch seemed a bit odd after looking so many fish in the eye but battered and fried it went down very well. A big thank you to all friends, relatives and
staff who came to help and to Jennifer for her organisational skills.

Pancake Day
Pancake day is always lots of fun. Donna brought in the ingredients and a hot plate and frying pan, and assisted by Amy, everyone who wanted to had a go at tossing the pancakes. The mixture was a bit sticky this year, maybe because it hadn't stood long enough. Most spectacular toss must go to Edna, though the pancake didn't end up back in the pan....
