The Residents Christmas Party

Patsy Rose first came to entertain for our Christmas party in 1997 and has been every year since.  She plays all the sing-a-longs and tunes to dance to too. It's a winning formula so why change?

Before the music started we had a surprise visit from a very cuddly Rudolph and a beautiful Cinderella. (Gaynor and her niece Bryony).

A special mention to Pearl, Toni and Lyn in the kitchen for a beautiful spread and thanks to all friends and relative who came and got into the party spirit. Happy Christmas everybody.

Reg and Heather's Golden Wedding

The 18th was Reg and Heather's Golden wedding. It coincided with Natterjacks and Heather came in and told us some of how they got together and about their wedding day. She brought in some sherry and chocolates and Pearl baked a cake. Happy Anniversary Reg and Heather.

Christmas Flower Arranging

Rita the gardener came in to help us create some beautiful table decorations for the Christmas tables and the Christmas party.

The Donkey's Visit

Patricia's friend Karen has miniature donkeys and she very kindly brought them in to visit. They were very well behaved without any accidents (bucket at the ready just in case) and were pleased to have a good munch on our little bit of lawn. What a treat.

Outing to Morrisons

Morrisons kindly invited us to have a cup of tea and mince pie in their store. We were greeted by the Walsingham Primary Schoolchildren singing Christmas songs and they certainly have the 'aaah' factor. Chris worked in Morrisons for many years and especially enjoyed having a look round and meeting some of his old colleagues.

The High School Panto

The High School came and did a show for us of various bits of different pantos which was very enjoyable. A few days later we also went to the Fadlos panto at the Community centre. This year it was Dick Whittington and as usual was lots of fun.

Decorating the Xmas cake

We've done a lot of cooking for Christmas this year making puddings, home-made mincemeat and mince pies amongst other things and of course a cake. Jo Baldwin came and helped us put the finishing touches to it and it looks very good.
